In turn, the 456 GT set itself the goal of continuity in the tradition of the 2 + 2 with front engine. Powered by a powerful 12-cylinder engine of 5473cc and 442 horsepower, the car had a perfect weight balance thanks to the rear-mounted transmission. Carbon fiber was also being introduced to lighten some body parts, such as the engine hood. The 456 GT remained in production from 1992 to 2002, with 3287 units built.
